This 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera has been modified in the style of a European 3.8 RS model and is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a Quaife limited-slip differential. Modifications are said to include aftermarket camshafts, a custom ECU chip, RS-style front and rear spoilers, and RS-style door panels. The car is finished in black over a black leather interior, and it resided in New Jersey and Connecticut before being imported to Canada in 2006. The seller purchased it in 2018 and commissioned the RS-style modifications, which also included removing the factory sunroof, rear wiper, radio, rear seats, and air-conditioning system. Now showing 72k miles, this modified 993 is offered in Montreal, Canada, with service records, a clean Carfax report, and transferable Quebec registration.
The body has been refinished in black and was modified during the seller’s ownership by filling the factory sunroof, removing the factory rear wiper, and adding RS-style front and rear spoilers as well as 3.8RS badging at the rear.
17×8″ and 17×9.5″ Fiske three-piece wheels feature gold centers and polished lips and are wrapped in Toyo Proxes R1R tires measuring 235/40 up front and 275/40 out back. Drilled and slotted brake rotors are paired with black calipers at all four corners, and the car rides on adjustable Bilstein coilovers front and rear.
The interior is trimmed in black leather with matching RS-style carpets, a black dash, and black RS-style door panels with red pull handles. Modifications performed during current ownership included deleting the factory radio, removing the rear seats, removing the air-conditioning system, and installing a Singer-style center console and shifter.
Instrumentation consists of a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil pressure, and oil temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 500 of which were added by the seller since 2018.
The air-cooled flat-six was reportedly rebuilt to displace 3.8 liters, and an included dynamometer test sheet shows maximum power numbers of 284 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque. According to the seller, modifications and equipment added during the rebuild include:
- ARP head studs and hardware
- ARP rod hardware
- Solid rockers
- RS-style valve springs
- Titanium valve spring retainers
- Pauter lightweight connecting rods
- 49mm intake valves
- One replacement exhaust valve and valve guide
- Porsche Motorsport 3.8 RSR pistons and cylinders
- 11.5:1 compression ratio
- Replacement oil pump
- Web Cam 3.8 RSR camshafts
- Replacement auxiliary oil cooler
- Replacement re-ring set kit
- Custom ECU chip
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a Quaife limited-slip differential. The seller states that the clutch and flywheel have been replaced during current ownership.
The Carfax report shows registration history in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut followed by Canadian registration in Ontario and Quebec, and it indicates no accidents or other damage. The seller has provided a walk-around video below.
