BaT Auction: Slate Blue Metallic 43k-Mile 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo 6-Speed

This 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo is finished in paint-to-sample Slate Blue Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six that sends power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The car was delivered new to Porsche Stevens Creek of Santa Clara, California and spent time in Nevada, Indiana, and Kentucky before being recently acquired by the selling dealer. Options include supple leather front seats, lumbar support, dark wood trim, and a CD changer. Now showing 43k miles, this 996 Turbo is offered in Virginia with recent service records, factory manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kentucky title.

The 996 Turbo featured wider rear fenders with integrated air intakes, as well as revised front and rear valances when compared with the contemporary Carrera. This example is finished in paint-to-sample Slate Blue Metallic, and equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps with integrated fog lights, a sliding sunroof, a rear window wiper, and a hydraulically-actuated rear spoiler.

Factory 18” turbo twist wheels feature Turbo script center caps and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Braking is handled by red-finished four-piston calipers over ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.

The cabin is upholstered in Graphite Grey full leather with matching carpets and door panels. Amenities include power-adjustable supple leather front seats with lumber support, cruise control, automatic climate control, dark wood trim on the shift knob and handbrake lever, and Bose audio with a CD changer.

A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,600-rpm redline, as well as auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows just 43k miles.

The twin-turbocharged and intercooled 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six was factory-rated at 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle. The selling dealer reports an oil change was recently performed.

The build sheet indicates that the car was delivered in a metallic paint-to-sample finish and shows the optional equipment as well as a total retail price of $121,340.

The August 2020 Carfax report lists no accidents and displays history in California, Nevada, Indiana, and Kentucky.
