This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT350 was built on March 22, 1967 and first sold through Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. The car then spent time in Texas, California, Washington State, and British Columbia before undergoing a restoration by Orlando Mustang of Osteen, Florida between 2004 and 2008 and being acquired by its current owner in an April 2019 BaT auction. Power comes from a rebuilt replacement 289ci K-code HiPo V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in Dark Moss Green over black vinyl. Features include factory power-assisted front disc brakes and steering, shoulder harnesses, a folding rear seat, a tachometer, and the interior decor and courtesy light groups. A brake flush and oil change were performed in August 2020. This GT350 is offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner with copies of its window sticker and original sales invoice, an owner’s manual, period brochures, a Deluxe Marti Report, SAAC documentation, an MCA Concours judging sheet, period photos, a set of period Goodyear Polyglas tires, and a clean Texas title in the owner’s name.
The car was refinished in Dark Moss Green (2039-A) metallic paint with white rocker panel stripes. The hood, front bumper and fenders, doors, and side scoops wear a clear paint-protecting wrap. Shelby-specific details include a fiberglass hood and trunk lid, an integrated rear spoiler, side scoops, inboard driving lights, and taillights sourced from the contemporary Mercury Cougar. A walk-around video has been provided by the seller.
Ten-spoke aluminum wheels wear Shelby center caps and new BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-letter tires. A matching spare wheel with Goodyear rubber is located in the trunk along with a jack and lug wrench, and a set of period Goodyear Polyglas are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery. Power-assisted steering and front disc brakes were optioned from the factory. A brake fluid flush was performed in August 2020.
The cockpit is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and textured seat inserts as well as aluminum trim on the dashboard and door panels. The car was equipped from the factory with the interior decor and courtesy light groups, an AM radio, an integrated Shelby roll bar, shoulder harnesses, and a fold-down rear seat. A dealer-installed air conditioning system was removed under previous ownership.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer with an optional trip odometer, while Stewart Warner gauges for oil pressure and amperage are mounted below the dash. Just under 73k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The replacement K-code 289ci HiPo V8 was overhauled by Richmond Engine Rebuilding of Surrey, British Columbia in February 2019. The work included installation of forged Mahle pistons as well as new main and rod bearings, a Comp camshaft, a roller timing set, and more as shown on an included invoice. An oil change was performed in August 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
The Deluxe Marti Report lists original equipment and colors along with a build date of March 22, 1967 and initial delivery to Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. A reproduction window sticker is included in the sale with a dealer invoice copy, Shelby Registry documentation, photos of the car with its original owner, and a Mustang Club of America judging sheet from a 2008 event where the car was awarded Concours Trailered Gold status.
