This 1983 Yamaha YC180 Riva comes from the model’s first year of production and was sold new by Yamaha of Salem, Oregon, from whom it was later acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. Power is provided by a 180cc single-cylinder engine paired with a CVT transmission, and the scooter features ABS bodywork finished in metallic blue as well as an aftermarket windscreen. This Riva is offered by at no reserve with a removable trunk, a yellow Oregon license plate, its original purchase order, a manual and tool kit, and a clean Oregon title.
The plastic body features a locking compartment behind the forward fairing, a headlight and taillight, flush-mounted turn signals, a passenger grab bar, a short windscreen, and a mount for the included locking tail case.
Factory badging is intact, as is the load rating decal aft of the two-up seat. Steel 10″ wheels with aluminum centers wear older 3.50-10 tires. Braking is handled by mechanically-operated drums front and rear.
Instrumentation consists of an 80-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, while photos in the gallery below demonstrate the functional warning lights arrayed above. The five-digit odometer shows 5k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer.
The air-cooled, four-stroke 180cc single is fed by a Mikuni carburetor and paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
An owner’s manual and factory tool roll are included the sale.
The original purchase order shows a $1,787 sales price including the luggage rack, trunk, and windshield.
