BaT Auction: 1986 Toyota 4×4 Pickup 5-Speed

This 1986 Toyota Pickup is a four-wheel-drive example that was acquired by the seller in January 2020. The truck is finished in red over tan cloth and is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and a two-speed transfer case. Features include gold SR5 graphics, a spray-in bed liner, sliding rear window, air conditioning, and a modern stereo. Recent service reportedly includes repairing the brakes and replacing the carburetor, starter, battery, and clutch. This Toyota pickup is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The seller states that the truck was recently repainted in red by Redemption Paint and Body of Dawsonville, Georgia. Gold SR5 graphics from James Dean Creations were also applied at that time. Features include a sliding rear window, spray-in bed liner, mud flaps, and a tubular rear bumper. A new front valance was fitted during the repaint, at which time the tailgate was replaced due to corrosion, and a walk-around video is provided here.

15″ steel wheels are finished in white and wear 235/75 General Grabber HTS tires. The spare wheel is fitted under the bed, and the power-assisted brakes were reportedly serviced within the last 500 miles.

The cab features a tan cloth bench seat, matching door panels, and body-color sheet metal, as well as a Coverlay dash cover and replacement vinyl flooring. Amenities include a modern stereo and air conditioning. The seller states that the air-conditioning compressor was recently replaced.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 230k miles, 500 of which were added by the seller.

The 2.4-liter 22R inline-four is equipped with a Weber downdraft carburetor and an aftermarket air cleaner. Recent service reportedly includes replacing the starter and battery.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The clutch was reportedly replaced within the last 500 miles. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery.

The September 2020 Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and shows history in Alabama and Georgia.
