This 1990 Honda Prelude Si 4WS is finished in Phoenix Red over a gray cloth interior and is powered by a 2.1-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. The car previously resided with a long-term owner in Wisconsin before being acquired by the seller in 2019. Equipment includes four-wheel-steering, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and a factory stereo with a graphic equalizer. Now showing 111k miles, this Prelude Si is offered at no reserve with factory literature, service records dating back to 1999, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Phoenix Red (R51) and features white pinstripes, pop-up headlamps and a rear spoiler with an integrated third brake light. Rust repair was performed under current ownership at the edge of the right rear wheel arch, and the work is said to have included paint blending into the rear quarter panel. Paintless dent repair was performed on the trunk lid, and chips in the windshield were filled and sealed. Close-up photos of the paint, lenses, trim, and exterior blemishes are provided in the gallery below.
Factory 14″ alloy wheels wear Kumho Sense tires that show 2015 date codes. The four-wheel-steering system is comprised of a shaft-driven planetary gearbox that manipulates the rear wheel toe angle based on steering angle. Braking is provided by discs all around.
The interior is trimmed in gray cloth with matching carpets and floor mats. Equipment includes power windows and locks, air conditioning, a sunroof, and a factory cassette stereo with a seven-channel graphic equalizer. An aftermarket keyless entry system was installed under prior ownership.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a six-digit odometer showing 111k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.
The 2.1-liter B21A1 inline-four sends power to the front wheel wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2004 at 64k miles, and a receipt from the work is provided in the gallery. More recent maintenance during current ownership has included repairing an air conditioning leak and performing an oil change in March 2020.
The seller notes an oil leak as well as a leak from the inner CV boot. Additional images of the underbody, suspension components, and wheel wells can be viewed below.
The August 2020 Carfax report shows history in Wisconsin and lists no accidents or other damage from its first entry in October 1994 through its most recent update in July 2019. An open manufacturer’s recall related to the front seat belt buckles is noted.
Service records dating back to 1999 are included in the sale, along with factory manuals and four keys. A start-up, walk-around, equipment demonstration, and driving video is provided below.
