BaT Auction: 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 200Tdi 5-Speed

This 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 is a right-hand-drive wagon that was sold new by Marshall Land Rover in Peterborough, England, in 1993. It was later imported to the US, where it was purchased by the seller in December 2019. Power is from a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case, and recent work is said to have included the installation of a replacement clutch, electrical wiring, and swivel seals. It is finished in white over gray, and upgrades include LED lights, a suspension lift, air conditioning, an aftermarket stereo, and more. This Defender 110 now shows just under 97k miles and is offered with factory literature, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted Alpine White from green in 2018 during previous ownership, and replacement front doors were installed. Photos from the refurbishment are provided in the gallery below. Exterior equipment includes a KBX grille, LED headlamps, a bull bar with integrated off-road lights, black plastic fender flares, side steps, a rear-mounted spare tire, a roof basket with rear-mounted ladder, replacement side mirrors, and black diamond plating on the hood, fenders, and quarter panels.

Aftermarket Sawtooth alloy wheels are finished in gloss black and wear BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. Fitted equipment includes a Terrafirma lifted suspension, a Terrafirma steering damper, and a steering guard. Work performed in 2019 included the installation of replacement swivel seals.

The cabin features replacement front and second-row seats covered in Exmoor Denim Twill Vinyl with black door panels and a rubber floor liner. Equipment includes air conditioning, heated front seats, inward-facing rear bench seats, and Defender-branded all-weather floor mats. The seller notes intermittent water ingress around the front doors during wind and rain.

The dashboard houses the climate controls, an analog clock, and a Pioneer Bluetooth stereo linked to an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer. Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows just under 97k miles, approximately 850 of which were added by the seller.

The 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four is equipped with a replacement exhaust and an aftermarket AlliSport intercooler. Power is routed through a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Work performed since 2019 is said to have included the installation of a replacement battery and electrical wiring. The seller states that the gearbox, transfer case, and clutch were replaced in 2020.

Corrosion is noted where the frame meets the body supports. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below.

Factory literature and service records are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows registration history in New York since 2019.
