This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC is finished in black over beige leather, and power is furnished by a 5.5-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in August 2020, and service in preparation for the sale included the replacement of the tires, both fuel pumps, the fuel and air filters, and the battery, as well an air-conditioning system recharge, brake and coolant flushes, a transmission service, and an oil change. Now showing 27k miles, this C126 is offered with factory literature, service records, a VMI report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black (040U) with gray lower cladding and features an electric sliding sunroof with tilt functions, headlight washers, integrated fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, and chrome trim on the bumpers, window surrounds, drip rails, and side moldings. Imperfections in the finish have been photographed up close and are shown in the gallery below, along with images of VIN-stamped stickers.
Factory 15” Gullideckel wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Pirelli P4 tires that were mounted in August 2020, at which time the brake fluid was flushed.
The cabin features seats trimmed in beige leather (265) with matching door panels and carpets protected by Mercedes-logo floor mats. Burl wood veneers accent the two-tone dashboard, the center console, and the doors. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated front seats with memory settings, automatic climate control, power windows, a rear window defroster, and a Becker Grand Prix electronic AM/FM/cassette stereo. The air-conditioning system was serviced and recharged in August 2020.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 170-mph VDO speedometerflanked by a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock and a combination gauge that displays fuel level, instant fuel economy, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer indicates under 27k miles, fewer than 100 of which were added by the seller.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 is equipped with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in 2020 included the replacement of both fuel pumps, the air and fuel filters, and the battery, as well as a coolant flush and an oil change. The car most recently passed a California emissions test on August 20, 2020. The seller has provided videos of a cold start and a look under the hood with a start-up and the engine running.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission that was serviced in August 2020. Additional photos of the underbody are provided in the gallery, and a video can be viewed here.
