This 1997 Acura NSX-T was first registered in Florida before being relocated to California, where it was acquired by its current owner in 2014. The car is finished yellow over black and powered by a 3.2-liter VTEC V6 mated to a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes a removable roof panel, cruise control, automatic climate control, a Bose stereo, and power-adjustable seats. Maintenance performed under current ownership consisted of replacing the timing belt and water pump in 2014, servicing the climate control system and an anti-lock brake conversion. The power steering rack was rebuilt by NSX Rack Repair of Booneville, Mississippi. This NSX-T has 81k miles and is offered in Mississippi by the seller on behalf of its current owner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
Approximately 92 examples of the US-market NSX-T were finished in Spa Yellow (Y52P) for the 1997 model year. Factory equipment includes a body-colored removable roof panel, an integrated rear spoiler, and pop-up headlights. HID headlight bulbs have reportedly been installed along with paint protection film and window tint. The seller notes that the driver’s side of the car and the rear bumper cover were repainted and that the lower bumper cover, front lip spoiler, and tow hook cover are replacements.
Factory 16″ front and 17″ rear wheels are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta XS and Yokohama S.drive tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with red-painted calipers and replacement pads and rotors. The power steering rack was refurbished by NSX Rack Repair in Booneville, Mississippi, and the factory anti-lock braking system was converted to utilize components from an NSX Type S.
The cockpit is upholstered in Onyx leather and features charcoal carpets protected by NSX-branded floor mats. Amenities include power-adjustable seats, cruise control, LED lighting, and a Bose cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The automatic climate control system has been repaired according to the seller.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 190-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows just under 81k miles, 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter DOHC V6 features 24 valves and VTEC variable valve timing, and was factory-rated at 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt, water pump, and accessory drive belts were replaced in 2014 by AutoNation Acura Stevens Creek in Santa Clara, California.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The seller notes that the clutch was replaced under previous ownership.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida and California.
