BaT Auction: 31k-Mile 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe

This 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S coupe is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior and is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. Equipment includes 19″ wheels, dynamic cornering lights, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated and ventilated front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, a navigation system, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The seller acquired the car in 2019, and service in May 2020 included changing the oil and transaxle fluid and replacing a drive belt. This 997.2 has 30k miles and is now offered in California with service records, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The 997 was refreshed for the 2009 model year with revised front and rear fascias, new headlight and taillight designs, and LED auxiliary lighting. This example is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic and features optional dynamic cornering lights, and the seller notes that a protective 3M film has been applied to the front portion of the hood, front bumper, and front fenders. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Factory 19″ wheels wear painted Porsche-crest center caps and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Stability Management, and four-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors and red calipers all around.

The cabin is upholstered in black full leather and features heated and ventilated power-adjustable Comfort seats with driver-side memory. Additional amenities include an Alcantara headliner, PCM with navigation, satellite radio, a Bluetooth phone interface, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The lock button on one of the keys is inoperable.

The heated leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer has 31k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller since 2019.

The 3.8-liter flat-six in the 997.2 Carrera S was rated for 385 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transaxle. Service in May 2020 included changing the oil and transaxle fluid as well as replacing a drive belt.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists the original drivetrain numbers and options along with a production completion date of November 26, 2008. Service records, a window sticker, a car cover, and factory manuals are also included in the sale.

The Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage and shows registration history in Georgia, California, and Arizona.
