This 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT 4×4 was sold new by Eichler Ford of Warrensburg, New York, and was reportedly acquired by the seller from a family member in 2013. It is finished in Raven Black with Free Wheeling-style decals over a black and gray interior. The truck is powered by a 400ci V8 paired with a C6 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 15″ polished Pro Comp wheels, locking front hubs, a trailer hitch, faux-wood interior trim, and a locking center console. This second-generation Bronco is now offered with the owner’s manual, the original sales invoice, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Originally finished in Dark Brown Metallic, the truck was repainted Raven Black during a two-year refurbishment performed by the seller and features Free Wheeling -style chromatic gradient decals. Equipment includes a trailer hitch, a single exhaust outlet, and a chrome grille, side mirrors, and trim, as well as a replacement rear window, weatherstripping, and tailgate seals.
Pro Comp 15″ polished wheels are mounted over locking front hubs and wear 33×12.5″ Cooper Discoverer Radial LT white letter tires that show cracks.
The cabin has been reupholstered in black with gray cloth seat inserts and a replacement headliner, door panels, and carpeting. Interior amenities include faux-wood trim on the dashboard, a locking center console with cupholders, manual wind-up windows, and a rear bench. An aftermarket stereo and speakers have been installed, although the radio face plate is not present.
The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, alternator charge, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 400ci V8 is equipped with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The seller reports that the water pump, ignition components, alternator, and gaskets were replaced during his ownership.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a C6 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The original invoice from Eichler Ford is dated February 16, 1979, and lists a total price of $8,957. The owner’s manual and factory literature accompany the truck.
