This 1987 Porsche 928 S4 is finished in paint-to-sample Minerva Blau Metallic over a black and blue interior and shows 57k miles. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a 40% locking rear differential, 17″ Cup wheels, a sunroof, air conditioning, a sport steering wheel with an elevated hub, a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 cassette stereo, and sport shocks. The car was sold new in Colorado and later spent time in Kentucky and Texas before the selling dealer’s recent acquisition in Florida. This 928 is now offered in Florida with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.
The 928 featured updated styling with revised bumper covers and lighting for the 1987 model year. This example is finished in paint-to-sample Minerva Blau Metallic, and additional equipment includes optional side protection molding, a rear spoiler, a power sunroof, pop-up headlights, and integrated fog lights. The selling dealer states that paintwork was performed around the fuel door, and scratches are noted on the passenger door and rear quarter panel. Photos of VIN stickers are provided on all the applicable panels below.
17″ Cup wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S tires that show date codes from 2011, 2013, and 2014. Sport shocks came optioned from the factory, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel ventilated discs. Curb rash and other blemishes are noted on the wheels.
The interior features factory optional black leather seats with blue piping and inserts, along with matching door panels. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 cassette stereo, cruise control, front and rear air conditioning, and a sport steering wheel with an elevated hub. The selling dealer states the LCD clock screen has a blemish, and the air conditioning functions but requires a refrigerant service.
Instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, and gauges monitoring temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and battery charge. Just under 58k miles are shown on the six-digit mechanical odometer.
The 5.0-liter M28/42 V8 produced 316 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and an optional 40% locking rear differential. The selling dealer states that the car is due for a timing belt replacement.
An aftermarket exhaust system has been added, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery
The June 2000 Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows that the car was delivered in a metallic paint-to-sample finish and lists the powertrain numbers as well as the optional equipment.
The Carfax report displays registration history in Colorado, Kentucky, and Texas, and indicates no accidents or other damage. An in-car driving video is provided below.
