This 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello is finished in Rosso Corsa over Beige leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Features include 18″ wheels, a Tubi exhaust system, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, an Alpine stereo, and a gated shifter. The car was first registered in California and was acquired in 2010 by the seller, who has added 11k of the 38k indicated miles. Service in the past year has included reseating the Motronic ECUs, replacing a shock absorber actuator and intake temperature sensor, and performing an oil change and brake fluid flush. This 550 Maranello is now offered with service records, three keys with the red master remote control and codes, factory books, removed factory parts, a tool kit, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
The 550 Maranello was designed by Pininfarina and features aluminum bodywork over a tubular-steel frame. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and is equipped with front and rear lip spoilers, a hood scoop, fender vents, integrated front fog lights, and quad exhaust finishers. The seller states that the hood and bumpers were refinished in 2011 to correct stone chip flaws. A full paint correction has been performed followed by ceramic coating.
Five-spoke 18″ wheels were sourced from a 575M and wear Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing a mix of 2011 and 2012 date codes. In February 2020, Ferrari of Atlanta replaced the front right shock absorber actuator and re-centered the remaining actuators. Braking is from Ferrari-branded calipers and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners, and a fluid flush was also performed in February 2020.
The cabin is upholstered in Beige leather with matching carpets and a contrasting black dashboard. Features include power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, air conditioning, drilled pedals, an Escort MAX CI 360 radar and laser jamming system, an Alpine head unit with satellite radio & Bluetooth and a JL Audio subwoofer. The seller states that sticky surfaces have been remedied, and the factory head unit is included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 220-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 11k of which have been added by the seller since 2010.
The 5.5L 48-valve Tipo F133 V12 features quad overhead camshafts and was factory-rated at 478 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was completed in March 2015 at 34k miles by Ferrari of Atlanta, and the clutch was replaced in 2017 at 35k miles. Service in the past year included reseating the Motronic ECUs, replacing the intake temperature sensor and cabin air filters, and performing an oil change.
A Tubi exhaust system is fitted, along with a Larini System X-pipe. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
A factory tool kit and literature are included in the sale, along with three keys with the red master remote control and codes, a car cover, service records, and removed factory parts.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in California, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, and Georgia through its most recent entry in August 2020. The seller states the report inaccurately reflects additional ownership changes, which shows owners seven, eight, and nine as the current owner. A previous ownership change reportedly included a transfer between father and son.
