This 1974 Triumph TR6 was reportedly purchased new by the seller in Seattle, Washington in 1975 and has since been relocated to California. It is finished in blue with a matching removable hardtop over a black interior and is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome bumpers with black rubber overriders, 15” wheels with polished trim rings, a chrome fuel cap, a woodgrain dashboard, and an AM/FM radio. The battery was replaced and the carburetors adjusted in 2019. This TR6 is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body is said to have been repainted in its current blue in 2019 and features a removable body-colored hardtop, chrome bumpers with rubber overriders, a bullet-style driver-side mirror, Union Jack TR6 graphics on the rear quarter panels, and a chrome fuel cap.
The 15″ steel wheels wear polished trim rings and are mounted with Travelstar UN 106 tires that measure 215/70. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs up front and drums in the rear.
The interior features seats upholstered in black vinyl along with matching door panels and carpets and a woodgrain dashboard. Amenities include black floor mats, an AM/FM radio, a wood shift knob, and a locking glove compartment. Duct tape repairs are noted on the front seats, and the seller describes cracks in the dash and interior trim.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles.
The 2.5-liter inline-six features twin SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Service in 2019 is said to include replacing the battery and adjusting the carburetors.
