This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is a split-window coupe that was refurbished during prior ownership. The exterior was refinished in red, the matching red interior was refreshed, and a replacement 327ci V8 was mated to its four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a Hurst gear shifter lever, a glove box-mounted JVC stereo, and 15″ turbine-style wheels. The car previously spent time in Tennessee and was recently acquired by the selling dealer. Maintenance in January 2021 included cleaning and adjustment of the brakes and wheel bearings. This split-window C2 is now offered in Florida with a clean Tennessee title.
The car was repainted in its present shade of red during prior ownership and features a split rear window, hood louvers, and hidden headlights as well as chrome bumpers and trim. Photos of the body and paint are provided in the photo gallery below.
Silver-finished 15″ turbine-style wheels wear white-stripe radial 215/75 tires. According to the selling dealer, the brakes were adjusted and the wheel bearings were cleaned and re-packed in January 2021.
The interior features bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl with matching carpeting and trim. Equipment includes hand-crank windows, a Hurst shifter with a cue ball-style knob, and a JVC stereo installed inside the glovebox.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows just under 20k miles, and total mileage is unknown. The gauges are shown in this video.
The replacement 327ci V8 was installed during prior ownership and is fitted with a four-barrel Edelbrocks caburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The engine is shown running here.
