This 1952 GMC 100 is a three-window pickup that was refurbished and modified during prior ownership, with work that included refinishing the exterior, reupholstering the interior, and installing a 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The truck rides on a modified Chevrolet S-10 frame, and additional modifications include four-wheel disc brakes, updated suspension components, 15″ wheels, air conditioning, and a Pioneer stereo system. The selling dealer acquired the truck out of Pennsylvania in November 2020 and subsequently installed replacement weatherstripping, performed a tune-up, and serviced the shift linkage. This custom GMC is now offered with recent service records and a clean Michigan title.
The body was refinished in Toreador Red during the build according to the seller, who notes that the S-10 frame was modified and finished in gloss black. The bed features stained wood slats with polished stainless-steel cargo runners. Close-up exterior photos are provided in the gallery below.
Staggered-width 15″ Cragar wheels are fitted with Omni Classic X tires measuring 235/75 in front and Hoosier Pro Street tires measuring 29″ x 12.5″ at the rear. Power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners feature red-painted calipers and cross-drilled and slotted rotors.
The bench seat and door panels are trimmed in white leather, which is contrasted by a black headliner and carpeting. Further additions include power steering as well as a Lokar shifter, a Pioneer stereo system, and R134a air conditioning. The selling dealer commissioned work that included installing replacement weatherstripping, servicing the shifter, and replacing the ignition tumbler.
A Billet Specialties steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt column and fronts AutoMeter instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and readings for temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer displays 41 miles, approximately 10 of which have been added by the selling dealer. Actual mileage is unknown.
The 350ci V8 crate engine was supplied by GM Performance and replaces the factory inline-six. The engine features finned-aluminum valve covers, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and a Champion aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Maintenance completed in preparation for the sale included replacing the spark plugs, tuning the carburetor, servicing the cooling system, and adjusting the timing.
Patriot headers feed a side-exiting dual exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a B&M TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and linked to a Currie Ford 9″ rear end housing a limited-slip differential with 3.70:1 gears. Further updates include front coilovers with leaf springs and Summit shocks at the rear. Additional photos showing the suspension, chassis, and wood bed are presented in the gallery.
A walk-around video with the engine idling is presented above, and additional videos are below.
