BaT Auction: 1972 Honda CB350 K3 at No Reserve

This 1972 Honda CB350 K3 is finished in green with black tank stripes and powered by a 326cc parallel-twin paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes wire-spoke wheels, chrome fenders and exhaust, and a two-up seat. The bike was reportedly purchased new at Honda of Redlands, California, and was acquired by the seller in 2017. A tune-up was performed in November 2020 and a replacement battery installed in October 2020. This CB350 is offered at no reserve with a tool kit, shop manual, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The fork covers, side covers, and fuel tank are finished in Candy Bacchus Olive with black and white stripes on the 3.2-gallon tank. Noted imperfections include cracks in the headlight housing and left mirror, corrosion on the underside of the fenders, paint chips on the fork covers, and rust on the left muffler.

Wire-spoke 18″ wheels wear IRC GS-11 all-weather tires that were installed around 2017. Suspension is from a conventional front fork and dual chrome adjustable rear shocks. Mechanical drum brakes are fitted at both ends. A set of older Bridgestone tires removed from the bike are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery.

Nippon Seiki instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 9,200-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.

The overhead-cam 326cc parallel-twin was factory rated at 32 horsepower and equipped with twin 28mm Keihin carburetors. A replacement battery was installed in October 2020 and a tune-up and carburetor service were performed in November 2020.
