BaT Auction: 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe G50 at No Reserve

This 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is finished in metallic brown over brown and its 3.2-liter flat-six is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include aftermarket 16″ wheels, fog lights, a sunroof, sport seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Pioneer stereo. The seller acquired the car in 2018, reportedly from the spouse of its original owner, and it now shows 90k miles. Servicing under current ownership is said to have included replacement of the tires, a brake service, and rebuilding the shifter linkage. This 911 coupe is offered at no reserve with a set of removed wheels, factory manuals, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Nougat Brown Metallic (L40B) with two-tone pinstripes and body-color mirrors. Equipment includes a front lip, fog lights, a sunroof, tinted windows, and rear stone guards. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Aftermarket 16″ wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Riken Raptor ZR A/S tires, which show 2019 date codes. The seller states that the brake calipers have been rebuilt and the pads have been replaced.

The interior features sport seats trimmed in brown leather upholstery along with matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, central locking, and a Bluetooth-equipped Pioneer stereo. The shifter bushings are said to have been replaced under current ownership.

A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of factory VDO instrumentation including a tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, a combination gauge, and an analog clock. The six-digit odometer shows 90k miles, approximately 600 of which have been added by the seller over the previous four years.

The 3.2-liter flat-six was rated at 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque when new, and power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.
