This 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in black over red Nappa leather. Features include a retractable hardtop with a glass roof panel, power-assisted trunk closure, Keyless-GO, bi-xenon headlights, parking sensors, active ventilated seats, and COMAND with navigation and voice control. The car was initially delivered to Mercedes-Benz of Miami in Florida, and it spent time in New York before it was acquired by the seller in July 2018 and relocated to Kentucky. It now has 19k miles, and recent service included replacement of the supercharger drive components and brake pads, along with an oil and filter change. This R230 is now offered with a window sticker, factory literature, recent service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black (040) with AMG body styling, and features include a retractable hardtop with a panoramic glass roof panel, power-assisted trunk closure, Parktronic parking sensors, tinted windows, bi-xenon headlights with washers, and quad exhaust tips. A laser detector sensor is installed near the left fog light, and protective film has been applied to the hood and front bumper. Rust is present at the base of the rear window, one side of the lower grille is dislocated, and tape is applied to a broken section of the right-front plastic belly pan.
Black-finished 19″ AMG wheels wear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires measuring 255/35 up front and 285/30 out back. The car is equipped with an Active Body Control suspension, and braking is handled by slotted discs with AMG-branded calipers finished in silver at all four corners. The rear brake pads were replaced in July 2020, and the front brake pads, brake pad wear sensor, and anti-rattle clips were replaced in December 2020. The seller notes a leak in the left-rear tire.
The cabin features heated and ventilated multi-contour seats upholstered in red Nappa leather that extends to the lower dashboard and door panels, while black leather accents the upper dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include Keyless-GO, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wind deflector, a sunshade for the glass roof panel, and COMAND with navigation and Bose audio. The seller notes that the carbon-fiber trim is loose on the center console and ashtray.
The leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 19k miles, of which approximately 2k were added by the seller. A display for a Passport radar and laser detector has been added, though the seller notes it does not work properly.
The supercharged 5.4-liter V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. An oil change was performed in July 2020 and the supercharger idler, tensioner assembly, and belt were replaced in December 2020.
