This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet is fitted with the optional slant nose package and was sold new in West Palm Beach, Florida, in January 1988. It was first purchased by the seller from Holbert’s Porsche in Warrington, Pennsylvania, in 1990. The seller sold the car to a friend in 1999, and it reportedly changed hands between the friends twice over the next decade before the seller most recently re-acquired it in 2011. The car is finished in Guards Red over a Champagne leather interior, and power is provided by a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, pop-up headlights, a “tea-tray” rear spoiler, color-matched 16″ Fuchs wheels, a Borla exhaust system, and an Alpine CD stereo. Now showing under 25k miles, this 930 slant nose is offered with an owner’s manual, a slant nose supplement to the owner’s manual, a warranty and maintenance book, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Guards Red (G1/L80K) and features factory flachbau bodywork along with a power-operated black soft top. The slant nose option code M505 specified louvered fender-top vents, pop-up headlamps, black side strakes, and extended side sills. Additional equipment includes headlight washers, integrated front fog lamps, black bumper impact strips, and a “tea-tray” rear spoiler that provides clearance for the intercooler. Fraying on the soft top is noted above the passenger window.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels feature matching red centers and are mounted with older Goodyear Eagle ZR55 tires measuring 205/55 up front along with Goodyear Eagle HP tires measuring 245/45 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel drilled and ventilated discs, and the suspension system utilizes front and rear anti-sway bars.
The cabin features power-adjustable front bucket seats upholstered in Champagne leather along with matching door panels, beige carpets, and a black dashboard. Equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, black floor mats, and an Alpine CD stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset boost gauge, a 170-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows under 25k miles, approximately 15k of which were added by the seller during multiple periods of ownership since 1990.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. The oil was last changed in 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The Borla exhaust system was reportedly fitted in the late 1980s or early 1990s, and the seller states that the removed factory exhaust will accompany the car.
