BaT Auction: 43k-Mile 2009 Audi R8 Coupe

This 2009 Audi R8 coupe is finished in Ibis White over Luxor Beige leather and powered by a 4.2-liter V8 mated to a six-speed automated sequential transaxle and Quattro all-wheel-drive. Equipment includes 19″ wheels, carbon-fiber interior trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, navigation, heated and power-adjustable seats, and parking sensors. The car was first delivered to Town Audi in Englewood, New Jersey, and spent time in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina before it was acquired in 2015 by the seller. This R8 coupe now has 43k miles and is offered with two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Ibis White and features matching side blades, as well as an aluminum-trimmed fuel cap, a retractable rear spoiler, LED accent lights, tinted windows, a rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, and quad exhaust outlets. A crack on the rear bumper is shown up close in the gallery below.

Graphite-finished 19″ split five-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 235/35 up front and 305/30 out back. Standard equipment includes Audi magnetic ride suspension, and braking is provided by R8-branded orange-finished calipers with cross-drilled rotors at each corner.

The cabin features heated and power-adjustable seats trimmed in Luxor Beige Nappa leather along with matching carpeting protected by black floor mats, two-tone door panels, and carbon-fiber trim on the dashboard and center console. Additional amenities include aluminum pedals, an automatically dimming rear-view mirror with digital compass, automatic climate control, navigation, and a stereo with a six-disc CD changer and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and additional gauges displaying oil temperature, fuel level, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. The digital odometer indicates 43k miles, approximately 7k of which were added by the seller.

The mid-mounted 4.2-liter DOHC V8 features aluminum construction and FSI direct injection, and it was rated at 420 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to all four wheels through an R-Tronic six-speed automated sequential transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive, and the seller states that the oil was last changed approximately 3k miles ago.

Additional underside photos are viewable in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina between November 2008 and its most recent entry in January 2020.
