BaT Auction: One-Owner 29k-Mile 2005 Ford Excursion Limited 4×4

This 2005 Ford Excursion Limited was purchased new by the seller in California in December 2005 and is finished in black over beige leather. Power is from a turbodiesel 6.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a receiver hitch, adjustable pedals, heated front captain’s chairs, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a rear DVD entertainment system, while modifications consist of 18″ wheels with BFGoodrich tires, a lift kit, powered running boards, and a Kenwood stereo with navigation. This final-year Excursion Limited has 29k miles and is offered with two keys, DVD player headphones, a Thule cargo carrier, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s spouse.

The truck is finished in black and is equipped with fog lights, a rear window wiper, a roof rack, a receiver hitch, and Bestop power-retractable running boards. A Thule trailer-hitch cargo carrier is included in the sale. The Carfax report notes damage to the left front in April 2010 that the seller states resulted in a dent on the front bumper.

Polished 18″ Pro Comp Xtreme wheels are wrapped in 35×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires and a full-size spare is located in the rear cargo area. A lift kit is installed.

The interior features three rows of seats upholstered in beige leather, along with a matching dashboard and carpets as well as woodgrain trim on the door panels and center console. The front captain’s chairs are heated and power-adjustable with “Limited” script embroidered on the backrests. Amenities include adjustable pedals, automatic climate control, cruise control, an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with navigation, and a rear-passenger DVD entertainment system. Two video screens fold-down from the headliner and two more are mounted in the back of the front-seat headrests.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, transmission temperature, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer shows 29k miles.

The 6.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 was factory-rated at 325 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. Both batteries were reportedly replaced in February 2021.

Power is sent to the rear or to all four wheels through a TorqShift five-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.

The Carfax report shows no accidents, the aforementioned damage to the left front in April 2010, and registration history in California since new.
