This 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is finished in black with faux-woodgrain trim, and it is powered by a 360ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a roof rack, 15″ alloy wheels, LED headlights and driving lights, burgundy leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, power accessories, and an aftermarket stereo. The truck spent time in Washington State prior to its acquisition in December 2018 by the seller, after which it was relocated to New Jersey. Service under current ownership is said to have included radiator replacement and interior work along with refurbishing the steering system, the front end, the brakes, and the transmission. This Grand Wagoneer is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The truck was refinished in its factory black under previous ownership, and it features faux-woodgrain trim on the sides and rear hatch. Equipment includes a roof rack, bright trim, and bumpers with black overriders. The headlights and driving lights have been converted to use LED bulbs, and the seller states that the windshield wipers sometimes do not stop in their ordinary rest position. Scratches and other imperfections can be seen in the gallery below.
Factory 15″ alloy wheels were refinished and are mounted with 235/75 Sailun Terramax tires. Service under current ownership is said to have included replacing the steering box, power-steering pump, brake master cylinder, tie rods, drag links, sway-bar bushings, U-joints, shocks, and wheel bearings.
The cabin features seats upholstered in burgundy leather with fabric inserts as well as replacement carpets and a woodgrain-accented dashboard. Amenities consist of power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, vent windows, power accessories, and an aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. A custom-made center console has been installed along with a backup camera. The rear electric windows have reportedly been rebuilt, the door and window seals were replaced, and one of the rear electric locks sticks intermittently.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 193k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The carbureted 360ci AMC V8 was reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner and features an HEI billet distributor as well as an Edelbrock manifold and carburetor with an electric choke. The catalytic converter has been removed, and the seller recommends sorting the engine wiring harness. Recent service is said to have included an oil change and replacement of the harmonic balancer, radiator, coolant hoses, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and wires.
Power is sent to the rear or to all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Service under current ownership reportedly included rebuilding the transmission, replacing the transfer-case seals, and changing the front and rear differential oils. Corrosion is noted on the tail pipe, frame, and wheel wells.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Washington and New Jersey starting in 1996.
