This 2000 Honda CB750 Nighthawk is finished in black and powered by a 747cc air-cooled inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a two-up saddle, alloy wheels, a four-into-two chrome exhaust system, grab bars, dual mirrors, and two stands. The bike was acquired by the seller in fall 2020, and service performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change as well as cleaning and lubricating the drive chain. This Nighthawk 750 is offered at no reserve with the previous owner’s handwritten service notes and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.
Bodywork includes a 4.7-gallon fuel tank and is finished in black over a matching single-backbone, double-cradle frame. Monochromatic Nighthawk 750 graphics adorn side covers that extend to a tail section with a two-up black vinyl seat featuring a grab strap. Other passenger accommodations include a grab rail on each side in addition to folding foot pegs mounted on the rear subframe. The bike is equipped with both side and center stands, the latter of which was installed in March 2014.
Cast aluminum wheels measuring 18″ up front and 17″ at the rear are wrapped in Dunlop K505 tubeless tires that were reportedly mounted in May 2019. Suspension is handled by a 41mm air-assisted fork and a box-type swingarm with preload-adjustable shocks said to have been fitted in 2016. Braking is provided by a single disc with a twin-piston caliper up front and a drum out back.
Instrumentation consists of a 135-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,600-rpm redline, and a five-digit odometer that shows 17k miles, approximately 5k of which were added by the seller. A turn signal indicator is set between the gauges, while oil, side stand, neutral, and high beam status lights are housed in the tachometer.
The 747cc DOHC inline-four is equipped with an automatic camshaft chain tensioner and hydraulic valve adjusters along with a quartet of 34mm Keihin constant-vacuum carburetors and a four-into-two exhaust system with chrome mufflers on each side. The engine was rated at 75 horsepower and 47 lb-ft of torque when new. The battery is said to have been replaced in May 2019, and an oil change was performed in April 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed manual transmission and a drive chain, the latter of which was cleaned and lubed in April 2021. The seller notes corrosion on various fasteners as well as the exhaust collector pipe beneath the engine.
A factory tool kit and the previous owner’s handwritten service notes going back to 2014 are included in the sale.
