BaT Auction: 48k-Mile 1997 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Dually Power Stroke

This 1997 Ford F-350 is a crew cab dually model that was purchased new at Woodhouse Ford in Blair, Nebraska and reportedly remained with the original owner until being acquired by the selling dealer in April 2021. The truck is finished in Oxford White over Opal Grey upholstery, and power is from a 7.3-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8. The four-speed automatic transmission was reportedly replaced approximately 5k miles ago, and additional features include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, the Camper Package, an engine block heater, keyless entry, walnut trim accents, a CB radio, a rear-mounted VCR with a fold-down screen, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Modifications include 16″ Niche chrome wheels, a lowered suspension, and a color-matched grille, running boards, roll pan, and roof-mounted antenna. This F-350 shows 48k miles and is offered with its window sticker, two sets of keys, manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Nebraska title.

The exterior is finished in Oxford White (YZ) and features color-matched aftermarket components including the fiberglass running boards and fender flares, front bumper, rear roll pan, tonneau cover, rear fairing, mirrors, and grille. The badges, side marker lights, and clearance lights have been deleted, and a custom inset license plate frame was fabricated into the tailgate. Additional exterior features include a clear plastic bug deflector, a roof-mounted television antenna, and a receiver hitch integrated in the rear roll pan.

Eight-lug 16″ Niche chrome wheels wear 235/85 BFGoodrich Commercial T/A tires, including the inside rears. The selling dealer states that the suspension was modified and lowered when new using Belltech rear spring mounts and front I-beam components.

The cabin features a front split bench seat upholstered in Opal Grey cloth with matching carpets and walnut trim accents on the dash, instrument cluster, and door panels. Additional equipment includes power windows and locks, air conditioning, cruise control, a CB radio, a rear-mounted VCR with a fold-down screen, and an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.

Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Additional auxiliary gauges are mounted in an A-pillar gauge pod, and a trailer brake control module is fitted below the dash. The digital odometer shows 48k miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 7.3-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 was rated at 225 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque when new and is equipped with an optional engine block heater. The oil and filter were changed in March 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission that was reportedly replaced approximately 5k miles ago. The selling dealer reports the transmission fluid was recently flushed and the differential fluid was changed. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.

The window sticker lists factory equipment and colors along with a total MSRP of $32,985.00. Manufacturer’s literature, an original build sheet, and two key fobs are also included.

The Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage along with registration history in Iowa and Nebraska. A manufacturer’s recall related to the camshaft position sensor is listed in December 2007.
