This 2014 Porsche Boxster was purchased new by the seller at Porsche of Towson, Maryland, and it now shows 40k miles. The car is finished in Agate Grey Metallic with a black soft top over Luxor Beige leather, and power comes from a mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Features include X73 Sport Suspension, 19″ Boxster S wheels, bi-xenon dynamic headlights, a SportDesign steering wheel, and an infotainment system with a CD player and Bluetooth connectivity. A Porsche annual service that involved an oil change and a brake fluid flush was performed in December 2020, at which time the battery was also replaced. This 981 is now offered at no reserve with a window sticker, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a spare set of wheels with snow tires, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Agate Grey Metallic and equipped with a black soft top, bi-xenon dynamic headlights, a heated glass rear window, LED running lights and taillights, and an automatically deploying rear spoiler. The Carfax report shows “minor damage” in August 2017 that the seller states required a repair and repaint of the right rear wheel arch as well as a replacement wheel, and an invoice documenting the repairs is presented in the gallery below. Boxster S 19″ split-spoke wheels feature colored Porsche-crest center caps and wear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that show 2014 and 2015 date codes. Standard equipment includes cross-drilled brake rotors at all four corners, an Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and the car is equipped with the optional X73 Sport Suspension. A spare set of 19″ Boxster S wheels mounted with Continental snow tires is included in the sale, and a brake fluid flush was performed in December 2020 as part of an annual service.
The cabin features seats trimmed in Luxor Beige leather that extends to the armrests and instrument binnacle along with a matching dashboard, door panels, carpeting, A-pillar trim, and headliner. Silver trim accents the dashboard, shift knob, door handles, and center console. Features include air conditioning, cruise control, a touchscreen CD stereo with Bluetooth hands-free calling, a third-party Bluetooth module for music streaming, an auxiliary input, and a wind deflector.
An optional leather-wrapped SportDesign steering wheel frames a centrally mounted tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline and a 175-mph speedometer, as well as a multi-function TFT display with fuel level, coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and voltage readouts. The odometer shows 40k miles, all of which were added by the seller.
The dry-sump 2.7L flat-six sits ahead of the rear storage area and was rated from the factory at 265 horsepower. The battery was replaced and an oil change was performed in December 2020.
