This 1984 BMW R100CS is one of 150 produced in the factory Last Edition and is powered by a 980cc opposed twin paired with a five-speed transmission. The bike is finished in white and features shaft drive, a quarter fairing, dual front disc brakes, a two-up seat, a luggage rack, and fairing-mounted gauges. Service following the seller’s acquisition in 2021, reportedly from its longterm second owner, consisted of fluid changes as well as a valve adjustment and torquing the cylinder head. This R100CS is offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a tool roll, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
Bodywork is finished in Pearl White paint with blue and white pinstripes, and includes a quarter fairing as well as matching side covers with “Last Edition” graphics. Additional equipment includes a stepped two-up seat, a black luggage rack, both center and side stands, and chrome pannier mounting brackets.
Alloy snowflake wheels wear 2.25-19 front and 4.00-18 rear Metzeler tires, though new tires of the buyer’s choosing will reportedly be mounted and balanced following the auction’s close. Suspension consists of a conventional leading-axle fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swingarm on the left and the final drive enclosure on the right. Braking is from dual discs up front and a drum in the rear.
Primary instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,100-rpm redline, while a voltmeter and an analog clock are mounted in the fairing above. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10k miles, 300 of which have been ridden by the seller.
The air-cooled 980cc opposed twin produced 70 horsepower when new and breathes through Bing carburetors as well as a chrome dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe. Service performed by the seller included changing the fluids, torquing the cylinder heads, and adjusting the valves.
Power is routed to the rear wheel though a five-speed transmission, an enclosed driveshaft and a 32/11 final drive.
An owner’s manual, a tool roll, BMW panniers and racks, and a spare solo seat are included in the sale.
