This 2000 BMW M5 is powered by a 4.9-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission and was modified with a Dinan ECU flash, a cold air intake, a strut tower brace, and a Hamann exhaust system. The car is finished in Carbon Black over Black and Le Mans Blue leather, and additional equipment includes 18” double-spoke wheels, power-adjustable and heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a navigation system. The car was reportedly acquired from its first owner by the selling dealer earlier this year, and subsequent service included replacement of the cam and crank sensors, the battery, the power steering reservoir and hoses, the fuel pump, and an oil change. This E39 M5 has 66k miles and is now offered in New Jersey at no reserve with a clean Carfax report and a clean New York State title.
The car is finished in Carbon Black (416) and features xenon headlights with washers, a sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, and quadruple Hamann exhaust outlets. A Dinan badge has been affixed to the rear, and the selling dealer reports that a paint correction was performed. Paint meter readings are shown in the gallery.
Staggered-width 18” double-spoke wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires that measure 245/40 up front and 275/35 out back. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and a brake fluid flush was performed in preparation for sale.
The interior is trimmed in black with Le Mans Blue inserts along with brushed-aluminum trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, a factory navigation system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo connected to a trunk-mounted CD changer.
A multifunction steering wheel frames gray-faced instrumentation consisting of a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil temperature. The digital odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 4.9-liter S62 V8 has been modified with a Dinan ECU tune, a cold air intake, a Hamann exhaust system, and a strut tower brace that was added to the engine bay, all of which were done by Motor Werks West in Wyckoff, New Jersey. In November 2006 an update to the ECU tune was performed, and service done since the selling dealer’s acquisition included replacement of the battery, the secondary air pump, the power steering reservoir and hoses, the fuel pump, and the camshaft and crankshaft sensors in addition to an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside images are shown in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in New Jersey and New York.
