This 2004 Honda Dream 50R is a track-only motorcycle that is equipped with a 49cc single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and wears silver bodywork over a black frame. Features include a black tank strap, a racing seat, and an 18k-rpm tachometer mounted on a custom-fabricated aluminum bracket. The bike was acquired by the seller 15 years ago, reportedly from its second owner. This CB50R is offered with related literature, its removed factory tachometer mount, a manufacturer’s certificate of origin, and a Florida bill of sale.
This Dream 50R is said to be one of 440 produced as a tribute to the 1962 RC110. This example wears a front racing number plate, a black vinyl seat, and silver bodywork including an aluminum front fender, a seat cowl, a chain guard, and a low-profile fuel tank featuring a black strap and pinstripes as well as Honda wing logos. Discoloration is visible on the fuel filler cap.
Wire-spoke 18″ wheels are wrapped in 2.50″ Bridgestone Battlax BT-39SS tires. Braking is handled by hydraulic discs with cross-drilled rotors at both ends. Factory preload-adjustable Showa suspension consists of a traditional telescopic fork up front and twin shocks at the rear.
An 18k-rpm tachometer is mounted to a custom-fabricated aluminum bracket between the clip-on handlebars. The removed factory tachometer mount will accompany the bike.
The 49cc single features an HRC crankshaft, camshaft, low-friction cam chain, AC generator, and valve springs as well as a 20mm Keihin carburetor. Factory output was seven horsepower at 13,500 rpm. The seller states that the fluids have been checked and the engine has been turned over by hand periodically, but has not been started since it was new.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed close-ratio gearbox and a drive chain.
