BaT Auction: 26k-Mile 1996 Ford F-250 HD XLT Power Stroke at No Reserve

This 1996 Ford F-250 XLT is a standard-cab long-bed pickup that is finished in white over gray cloth and is powered by a 7.3-liter turbodiesel V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include dual fuel tanks, side steps, air conditioning, a factory cassette stereo, and cruise control. The truck spent time in Michigan and Indiana before being acquired by the seller in 2021. This F-250 HD has 26k miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in Oxford White (YO) with chrome side moldings and wheel arch trim. Equipment includes color-matched fiberglass running boards, western-style side mirrors, amber clearance lights, a solid-pane rear window, and a snap-on grille cover for cold weather that can be seen installed in the gallery below. The seller notes a paint chip on the passenger side of the bed, scratches on the rear bumper, and four drilled holes in the bed, reportedly from a bedliner that was removed.

Forged 16″ aluminum wheels are mounted with 235/85 Mastercraft Courser HXT tires. A spare wheel and tire are mounted beneath the bed.

The cabin is upholstered in Opal Gray cloth with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a factory cassette stereo, inflatable lumbar supports, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.

A two-spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 26k miles, fewer than 50 of which were added by the seller.

The 7.3-liter turbodiesel V8 was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the oil was changed and the fuel filter was replaced in late 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.

Manufacturer’s literature, owner’s manuals, and two keys with remote entry fobs are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Michigan and Indiana.
