BaT Auction: 27k-Mile 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX STi

This 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX STi hatchback was delivered new to Nate Wade Subaru in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was acquired by the seller in April 2021 from the original owner. The car is finished in blue over black Alcantara upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-four that sends power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes front and rear limited-slip differentials, a driver-controlled center differential, a factory-installed SPT boost gauge and catback exhaust, 18″ BBS wheels, Brembo brakes, and heated front seats. This STi hatchback has 27k miles and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in World Rally Blue Pearl and features a functional hood scoop, a rear spoiler, clear taillight lenses, and HID headlights. The Carfax report shows “moderate damage” to the right side of the car in July 2020 caused by an accident with another vehicle. The seller notes the rear exhaust garnish is currently removed and will accompany the car. Blemishes including dings near the driver-side door handle and cracks in the front bumper cover are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Factory 18” BBS wheels wear 245/40 Dunlop SP Sport tires that show date codes from 2013. Stopping power is provided by Brembo brakes at all four corners.

The cockpit features seating trimmed in black upholstery with Alcantara inserts, red stitching, and STi embroidery. Amenities include heated front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and an automatically dimming rearview mirror with a Homelink universal garage door opener. The seller notes a stitch in the driver’s seat upholstery is frayed.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames red STi-branded instrumentation that consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. An SPT-branded boost gauge is mounted atop the instrument cluster. The digital odometer indicates 27k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the seller.

The turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter EJ257 flat-four was rated at 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new, and an oil change was performed by Nate Wade Subaru in preparation for sale.

Power is delivered to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, a driver-controlled center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials. The car is equipped with a factory-installed SPT catback exhaust system.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Nate Wade Subaru in Salt Lake City, Utah as well as factory colors, options, and a total price of $40,169.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident in July 2020 and lists registration and service history in Utah.
