This 2001 Toyota 4Runner was delivered new to Longo Toyota in El Monte, California, and has remained registered in the state since. The truck is finished in white over gray cloth and is powered by a 3.4-liter V6 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes a Sherpa Equipment Company roof rack, a receiver hitch, a CD stereo, air conditioning, a rear heater, tinted rear glass, front disc brakes, and 16″ alloy wheels. The current owner acquired the truck on BaT in September 2020 and has since added approximately 4k of its 42k miles. Work performed under current ownership has included changing the oil, installing a battery cutoff switch, and replacing the fuel and air filters. This 4Runner is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer at no reserve with its window sticker, an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The truck was delivered new in Natural White and features tinted rear glass, a power-retractable rear window, a receiver hitch, and running boards. A Sherpa Equipment Company roof rack was installed under current ownership along with replacement wiper blades. The selling dealer notes a chip in the replacement windshield, a dent in the corner of the rear bumper, and stone chips on the leading edge of the hood. Compared with the previous model, the third-generation 4Runner featured a larger body, increased cargo capacity, an anti-lock braking system, rack-and-pinion steering, and an increased wheelbase of 105.3 inches. This example wears 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 265/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires that are said to have been mounted under current ownership.
The interior features bolstered front seats and a split-folding rear bench with patterned gray cloth upholstery. 4Runner-branded mats protect the gray carpets as well as the rear cargo area, and additional equipment includes a CD stereo, air conditioning, a rear heater, and power windows, mirrors, and locks.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 110-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just over 42k miles, approximately 4k of which have been added by the current owner.
The fuel-injected 3.4-liter V6 was factory rated at 183 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque when new. Work performed under current ownership included an oil change, replacement of the fuel and air filters, and installation of a battery cutoff switch.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a rear differential with with 4.10:1 gearing. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
