BaT Auction: 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 6-Speed

This 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is finished in silver over blue leather and powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes xenon headlights, Porsche Stability Management, 18″ wheels, automatic climate control, heated front seats, a sunroof, and a CD stereo. Delivered new in Pennsylvania, the car spent time in Michigan and Virginia before moving to Florida in 2012. Recent service is said to have involved recharging the air conditioning system and replacement of the passenger door window motor and regulator. This 996.2 has 66k miles and is offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (L92U), the car features a speed-activated rear spoiler, rear bumperettes, a power-operated sunroof, xenon headlights with washers, and quad exhaust outlets. The finish and trim are pictured up close in the gallery below.

Silver 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 235/40 Kumho Ecsta PA31 tires up front and 265/40 Michelin Pilot Sport tires out back that show 2016 and 2009 date codes, respectively. Braking is handled by black-finished calipers with Porsche lettering over cross-drilled discs.

Seating surfaces are upholstered in Metropol Blue leather with a matching dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include heated front seats, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and a CDR-220 stereo. The passenger door window motor and regulator were replaced and the air conditioning system was recharged in preparation for sale. The selling dealer states that the climate control display is damaged.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 66k miles.

The 3.6-liter M96 flat-six was factory rated at 320 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Rust is visible on the exhaust components, and additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
