BaT Auction: 2009 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Electra at No Reserve

This 2009 Royal Enfield Bullet Electra is powered by a fuel-injected 499cc single paired with a five-speed transmission and is finished in a gray paint scheme paying tribute to the British Royal Air Force. Features include both kick and electric starters, a front disc brake, a low-rise handlebar, a bar-end mirror, a solo saddle, a luggage rack, and a single fog light. The bike was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2021 and was subsequently serviced with a tire replacement and an oil change. This Bullet Electra is now offered in Wisconsin at no reserve with a clean Minnesota title.

The bodywork was refinished in gray with Royal Air Force graphics and a white front fender tip. Modifications include a single fog light, a diamond-stitch solo saddle, a luggage rack, and a mesh headlight guard.

Chrome wire-spoke wheels were mounted with 100/90-19 front and 110/90-19 rear Kenda Challenger tires by the selling dealer. Suspension consists of a conventional leading-axle fork with rubber gaiters as well as dual piggyback shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is from a single disc up front and a drum at the rear.

The replacement low-rise chrome handlebar is mounted on a pullback riser and features a single bar-end mirror on the left. Instrumentation consists of a 100-mph speedometer and a five-digit mechanical odometer showing 10k miles.

The 499cc single was factory rated at 23 horsepower and 29 lb-ft of torque and features hydraulic valves and electronic fuel injection. An oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale.

The selling dealer notes discoloration on the chrome muffler. Power is routed to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain.
