BaT Auction: 44k-Mile 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 6-Speed

This 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera is finished in black over black supple leather and powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes xenon headlights, an electric sunroof, 18″ alloy wheels, a rear window wiper, heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a factory CD stereo. The car was sold new in New York and spent time in Massachusetts and Connecticut before it was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2021. The IMS bearing was replaced in 2014, while work performed in preparation for the sale consisted of replacing the spark plugs, ignition coils, drive belt, and tires. This 996.2 Carrera has 44k miles and is offered by the selling dealer in New York with a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title.

The car is finished in Black (L041) and features xenon headlights, an electric sunroof, a rear window wiper, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Close-up photos of the paintwork and trim can be viewed in the gallery below.

Silver-finished 18″ Carrera wheels wear painted Porsche crests and staggered-width Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires that were installed in preparation for the sale. A brake fluid flush was also carried out shortly after the selling dealer’s acquisition.

The cabin features seating upholstered in black supple leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include power-adjustable and heated front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a Becker CD stereo.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames aluminum-look instrumentation that consists of a  200-mph speedometer and a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline along with gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The odometer indicates 44k miles, 2k of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The 3.6-liter M96 flat-six was rated at 320 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque when new. The IMS bearing was replaced in May 2014, while service performed in preparation for the sale included replacement of the spark plugs, ignition coils, drive belt, and air filter along with an oil change.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, which received a fluid change during time with the selling dealer. Additional photos of the underside are available in the gallery below.
