BaT Auction: 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham Wagon at No Reserve

This 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham was converted to a nine-passenger station wagon by a coachbuilder and is finished in white with tan leather front bucket seats. Power is supplied by a 472ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and features include custom pinstriping, a roof rack, an electric sunroof, a third-row seat, power windows and locks, and a center console. The seller acquired the car in 2020, reportedly after it spent time in Nevada. This Fleetwood wagon is offered at no reserve in Pennsylvania with the removed factory front seats and a clean Deleware title in the seller’s name.

The body was reportedly repainted in white under previous ownership and features custom two-tone pinstriping across the body panels. Exterior details include chrome bumpers and rocker panel trim, an aftermarket grille, a roof rack, and a swing-out tailgate. The hood release cable does not work.

The 15″ wire wheels wear 235/75 Cooper Trendsetter SE whitewall tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted discs up front and drums at the rear. The seller notes a clunking sound from the suspension while turning at low speeds.

The cabin features replacement tan leather bucket seats up front along with matching door panels, black carpets, and floor mats with embroidered Cadillac crests. Amenities include an electric sunroof, power windows and locks, a center console, a rear-facing third-row seat, and folding footrests for second-row occupants. The second- and third-row seats have torn upholstery, and the seller notes the sunroof does not fully retract into the closed position. The removed factory front seats are included in the sale and are shown in the gallery below.

The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and frames a horizontal speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a five-digit odometer showing 85k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 472ci V8 was rated from the factory at 375 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. The air-conditioning system does not work.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside can be seen in the gallery.
