BaT Auction: 45k-Mile 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS

This 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 is #276 of approximately 2,000 North American-Specification examples imported into the US for the model year. The truck is finished in Portifino Red over Charcoal cloth and is powered by a 3.9-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes an external roll cage, a front brush guard, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, rear jump seats, and a locking center console. The truck was first registered in New York and spent time in New Jersey before the selling dealer acquired it in July 2021, and it now shows 45k miles. This D90 NAS is now offered by the selling dealer in Texas with an owner’s manual, side windows, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.

The aluminum body is finished in Portifino Red and features black wheel arch flares and a matching black soft top. The NAS model featured an internal/external roll cage from the factory. Additional equipment includes a front brush guard, side step bars, a tubular rear bumper, and a swing-out rear tire carrier. Paint blemishes are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Factory 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are wrapped in 265/75 Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires, and a spare with a BFGoodrich tire is mounted at the rear. Braking is from power-assisted discs at all four corners.

The front bucket seats are upholstered in Charcoal cloth and are joined by a two-tone black and gray dashboard, as well as black door panels and rubber floor mats. Equipment includes an aftermarket Pioneer stereo mounted within a Tuffy locking center console.

The cargo area features four inward-facing jump seats trimmed in Charcoal cloth, as well as a rubber floor mat.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 45k miles.

The 3.9-liter V8 was factory rated at 182 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.

The sale includes the owner’s manual and removable side windows.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other issues and lists history in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Texas.
