This 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was purchased by the seller as an unfinished project in 2016 and has since been refurbished. The truck was repainted in its current burgundy finish over a matching burgundy leather and cloth interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 5.9-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional work performed under current ownership included installation of Kilmat sound deadening and an Alpine touchscreen head unit with a reversing camera as well as replacement of the headliner, dash pad, rubber body seals, front sway bar bushings, and brake lines. This Grand Wagoneer shows 52k miles and is now offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in its current burgundy finish as part of the aforementioned refurbishment, and the wood trim and rubber body seals were reportedly replaced following the seller’s acquisition. Exterior details include a roof rack, fog lights, chrome side mirror caps, and chrome window rain guards. The rear window wiper motor is said to have been replaced under current ownership, and the seller notes flaws in the paint as well as a chip on the left rear door.
Silver 15” alloy wheels are mounted with 235/75 Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires. The front and rear sway bar bushings are said to have been replaced under current ownership along with the brake lines, front rotors and pads, and rear shoes and wheel cylinders.
The interior features seats upholstered in burgundy leather with corduroy inserts along with matching door panels and carpets. Additional amenities include air conditioning, a power rear window, power-adjustable front seats, and an Alpine touchscreen head unit with a backup camera. Kilmat sound deadening is said to have been added under current ownership along with a replacement dash pad, headliner, rear cargo area carpeting, power rear window switch, dash lights, roof console computer and lights, and air conditioning condenser and switch. The driver’s seat shows wear and has a split in the leather. A remote key fob is included in the sale, though the door-lock system works intermittently.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 5.9-liter V8 has been fitted with a Howell fuel injection system as well as replacement exhaust manifolds and vacuum hoses. Additional components replaced under current ownership are said to have included the oil pump, water pump, thermostat, timing cover, timing gears and chain, and the camshaft and lifters. An oil change was performed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional underside photos are displayed in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in North Carolina and South Carolina.
