BaT Auction: 12k-Mile 2000 BMW Z8

This 2000 BMW Z8 is finished in Jet Black over a black leather interior and is powered by a 4.9-liter S62 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Features include a body-color hardtop, a black soft top, staggered-width 18” wheels, heated power-adjustable seats, fog lamps, and chrome fender vents. The car was sold new by Long Beach BMW in California and was previously listed on BaT in November 2019 before being acquired by the current owner. This Z8 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner in California with its coffee table book, a removable hardtop, factory books and manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

The car is finished in Jet Black and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a black soft top. Equipment includes grille-mounted fog lights, covered headlights, front fender air extractors with BMW roundels, bright mirror caps, and neon taillights.

Staggered-width 18″ split-spoke wheels are unique to the Z8 and wear 245/45 front and 275/40 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. Braking power is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs.

The interior is trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include heated power-adjustable seats, piano black trim, air conditioning, power windows and locks, leather-wrapped roll hoops, and a factory sound system with a six-disc CD changer.

The banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of a centrally mounted 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an integrated analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer has 12k miles.

The 4.9-liter S62 V8 features double VANOS variable valve timing, individual throttle bodies, a double-row timing chain, and hollow camshafts. Factory-rated output was 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque. An oil change was recently carried out.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.

The coffee table book features a matching VIN label on the cover and is included in the sale along with the owner’s manuals, leather roll hoop covers, and a front license plate mount.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Long Beach BMW, colors and equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $130,670.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California and Montana.
