This 1979 International Harvester Scout II is finished in green with white Rallye graphics over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 304ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes a removable white hardtop, air conditioning, locking front hubs, 15″ turbine-style wheels, an aftermarket cassette stereo, and a dual exhaust system. The truck was acquired eight years ago by the current owner and the steering gearbox and a tie rod were reportedly replaced in 2021. This Scout II is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer with a clean Minnesota title.
The truck was refinished in its current shade of green with white Rallye graphics in 2013. Features include a removable white hardtop, a silver-painted rear step bumper, a chrome front bumper, and dual side mirrors. Cracks in the paint on the passenger fender are shown in the gallery below.
Turbine-style 15″ wheels are wrapped in 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. The truck is equipped with manually-locking front hubs. The steering gearbox and a tie rod were reportedly replaced in 2021.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in black vinyl with matching rubber floor covers. Amenities include air conditioning, an aftermarket Durabrand cassette stereo, and a center console. A tear is present on the driver’s seat.
A three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket lace-up cover and sits ahead of a 95-mph speedometer. The five-digit odometer indicates 22k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the current owner. True mileage is unknown.
The 304ci V8 is equipped with a single carburetor and a custom dual exhaust system.
