This 2005 Porsche 911 GT3 is finished in Guards Red over black leather and is powered by a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a fixed-position rear wing, staggered-width 18″ wheels, H&R springs, a body-color center console and seat backs, a carbon-accented shifter and parking-brake lever, aluminum-look gauges, automatic climate control, Fabspeed mufflers, and a Becker-Porsche CD stereo. The car was sold new at The Collection in Coral Gables, Florida, and it has remained in that state following its acquisition by the seller in 2009. This 996.2 GT3 has 24k miles and is offered with a DME report, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car is reportedly one of 19 examples finished in Guards Red (L84A) for the North American market during the 2005 model year, and it features silver GT3 graphics, a fixed-position rear wing, an aerodynamic front bumper and side skirts, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes evidence that the hood was repainted under previous ownership, and a chip on the left front fender is noted along with additional stone chips on the hood and front bumper.
Staggered-width 18″ wheels show imperfections and are fitted with 235/40 front and 295/30 rear Sumitomo HTR Z5 tires that were reportedly installed in September 2021. Other work at that time is said to have included replacing the front brake rotors and pads. Stopping power is from red multi-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors all around, and H&R springs have been installed
The cabin features sport seats upholstered in black leather as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Additional interior appointments include Porsche-crest embossed headrests, a body-color center console and seat backs, a carbon-accented shift knob and handbrake lever, automatic climate control, polished door sills, Evolution Motorsports aluminum pedals, and a Becker CDR23 stereo.
The optional thicker-rimmed steering wheel fronts aluminum-look instrument dials including a central tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 24k miles, approximately 13k of which were added by the seller.
The 3.6-liter M96/79 Mezger flat-six was factory-rated at 375 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque when new. An oil change was performed in August 2021 and a DME report from October 2021 is included in the photo gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G96/96 six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller reports that the car is equipped with a Clubsport-spec clutch and single-mass flywheel, and Fabspeed mufflers have been installed.
