This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is finished in black over tan leather and powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. The car was first registered in New Jersey and acquired by the seller in 2006. Modifications reportedly include a lightweight clutch and flywheel, adjustable Bilstein coilovers, and bi-xenon headlights as well as a Momo steering wheel, a bolt-in four-point rollbar, and aftermarket 18″ wheels. This 993 is now offered with removed factory parts, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black and features an RS-style “ducktail” rear spoiler and front air dam, smoke-tinted corner and tail lights, and tinted glass. The seller states that the headlights have been converted to bi-xenon lamps, and a black aluminum mesh panel has been installed in place of the Heckblende, and the removed panel is included in the sale. The Carfax report notes damage to the left rear in December 2001 due to an accident with another motor vehicle, and the left rear of the car is said to have been repainted under prior ownership.
Mesh 18″ wheels have been powder-coated in matte black and are wrapped in 225/40 front and 265/35 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires. Stopping power is provided by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The car is reportedly fitted with adjustable Bilstein PSS-9 coilovers and Porsche RS adjustable anti-sway bars. The front fog lights have been removed.
The cabin is trimmed in Cashmere leather with matching door panels and carpeting along with a black dashboard. Amenities include power-adjustable seats, a sunroof, air conditioning, an aftermarket stereo, and a Tequipment carbon-fiber handbrake lever. A bolt-in four-point roll bar has been installed. Wear on the driver’s seat is shown in the gallery below.
A Momo steering wheel trimmed in leather and suede frames VDO instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The removed factory steering wheel is included in the sale. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 137k, approximately 17k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.6-liter M64 flat-six was rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque when new. Modifications are said to include a Motorsound intake system and a K&N air filter. The seller states that the secondary air injection system has been bypassed.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle, and a Porsche RS light flywheel and clutch have reportedly been installed. The seller notes that corrosion is visible on the underside.
