BaT Auction: 22k-Mile 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 6-Speed

This 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S coupe is finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic over Stone Grey leather and is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle. Features include 19″ Carrera Classic wheels, a sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a sport shifter, Porsche Communication Management with navigation, a painted center console, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The car was registered in Texas until it was acquired by the current owner in 2010. Recent service has included replacing the thermostat and the water pump. This 997.1 C4S has 22k miles and is now offered on behalf of the owner with manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

Compared to other 997.1 Carrera models, the 4S features wider rear bodywork. This example is finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic, and equipment includes headlight washers, a power sunroof, automatically dimming side mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, and a silver Porsche-crest nose emblem. Rock chips are noted on the front fascia.

Silver 19″ Carrera Classic wheels with “4S” center caps are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires that show date codes from 2009. Braking is from red-finished calipers over drilled and vented rotors.

The cabin is trimmed in Stone Grey and features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in leather with embossed headrests. Amenities include automatic climate control, Porsche Communication Management with navigation, a sport shifter with an aluminum-trimmed knob, the Bose High-End Sound Package, a painted center console, and Porsche-script floor mats. The front trunk struts are weak.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline, a 200-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer indicates 22k miles.

The 3.8-liter M97 flat-six was factory-rated at 355 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. Recent service has consisted of replacing the thermostat, thermostat housing, and water pump.

Additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Texas and California.
