BaT Auction: 24k-Mile 1992 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible at No Reserve

This 1992 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Bright Red over a Flame Red leather interior. Equipment includes a white convertible top, a decklid-mounted luggage rack, air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and 17” alloy wheels. The car was first registered in Nebraska and remained in the state until it was acquired by the current owner in 2005. This C4 Corvette convertible has 24k miles and is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in Michigan with a clean Carfax report and a clean Illinois title.

The fiberglass body is finished in Bright Red (81) and features a white convertible top, a decklid-mounted luggage rack, a power antenna, retractable headlights, integrated fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets.

Sawblade 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with 275/40 Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires showing 2012 date codes. Standard equipment includes a four-wheel independent suspension and ventilated disc brakes at each corner.

The cockpit features bolstered bucket seats upholstered in Flame Red leather with a matching lower dash, door panel inserts, and carpets joined by a black dash and center console. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and power-adjustment for the driver’s seat.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 24k miles, approximately 6k of which were added by the current owner.

The 5.7-liter V8 features multi-port fuel injection and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. A fluid service was performed in September 2021.
