This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in light blue with silver coves over light blue upholstery and is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes a light blue soft top, body-color 15″ steel wheels with polished covers, quad headlights, a heater, an analog clock, and a Wonderbar radio. The car was reportedly acquired by the seller in 2020, and subsequent work is said to have included an oil change and a brake system service. This C1 is offered in Canada with manufacturer’s literature and British Columbia registration in the seller’s name.
The seller states that the fiberglass body was refinished in the current shade of light blue with silver coves during previous ownership. Features include a light blue soft top, quad headlights, chrome split front and rear bumpers, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint chips are noted on the driver-side door jamb, which is depicted in the gallery below.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear polished covers and are mounted with 205/75 Coker Classic wide whitewall tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums, and work in April 2021 is said to have involved cleaning the drums and replacement of the shoes and wheel cylinders.
The interior features seating surfaces upholstered in light blue vinyl along with a matching dashboard and door panels. Amenities include an analog clock, lap belts, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, salt-and-pepper carpets, a heater, and a Wonderbar radio.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 71k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The DG-code 283ci V8 was factory rated at 230 horsepower when equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor. The seller states that an oil change was performed in April 2021.
