BaT Auction: 1993 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade at No Reserve

This 1993 Honda CBR900RR is powered by an 893cc inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission and finished in white with red and blue graphics. Equipment includes four-piston Nissin front brake calipers, adjustable Showa suspension, an upswept single-exit exhaust system, custom-upholstered seats, and a custom-painted seat cowl. The bike was acquired by the seller in 2016, reportedly from its second owner. Service in June 2021 included cleaning the carburetors and replacing the fluids. This CBR900RR SC28 has 3,500 miles and is offered at no reserve with its stock seats, an owner’s manual, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

The 4.8-gallon fuel tank and fully-faired bodywork are finished in Ross White with blue and red graphics over an aluminum twin-spar frame carrying the engine as a stressed member. Features include perforated areas in the bodywork to manage airflow, an integrated clear windscreen, twin round headlamps, and locking tail section under the custom-painted cowl. The stock rider and passenger seats are included in the sale. A crack in the fairing above the left front turn signal can be viewed in the gallery.

White cast alloy wheels measuring 16″ up front and 17″ out back wear Bridgestone Battlax BT-50 tires. Braking components include dual floating 296mm drilled discs and four-piston Nissin calipers up front and a single 220mm drilled disc and single-piston caliper out back. Adjustable Showa suspension consists of a 45mm cartridge fork as well as a remote-reservoir monoshock with Pro Link linkage connected to the braced aluminum double-sided swingarm.

Clip-on handlebars with bar-end weights are mounted below the top triple clamp. Instrumentation includes a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 11k-rpm redline, and a coolant temperature gauge along with indicator lights for oil pressure, turn signals, neutral gear selection, high beams, and side stand deployment. The five-digit odometer indicates 3,500 miles, 300 of which were ridden by the seller.

The liquid-cooled 893cc DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 112 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque and breathes through four 38mm Keihin constant-velocity carburetors and a black four-into-two-into-one exhaust system with an aluminum muffler. A June 2021 service included cleaning the carburetors and changing all fluids.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain.
