This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 was delivered new to George Chevrolet in Bellflower, California, and is said to have remained with the original owner’s family until the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2017. Finished in black over matching leather, the car is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a performance suspension, ZR-1 specific bodywork, a removable roof panel, 17″ aluminum wheels, power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, and a Delco/Bose stereo. This ZR-1 has 58 miles and is now offered by the selling dealer in Massachusetts with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, NCRS scoring sheets, a clean Carfax report, and Rhode Island registration.

The C4 ZR-1 featured model-specific bodywork including widened rear quarter panels and a convex rear fascia with squared-off taillights. This example is finished in Black (41) and features a removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets.

Staggered-width 17” aluminum wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle tires that measure 275/40 up front and 315/35 out back. The ZR-1 was equipped with a Lotus-tuned three-mode adjustable suspension featuring Bilstein shock absorbers, and stopping power is provided by anti-lock disc brakes at all four corners.

The cabin houses power-adjustable bolstered sport seats that are trimmed in black leather along with matching carpeting and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a trip computer, power accessories, and a Delco/Bose stereo with cassette and CD players.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a digital speedometer and fuel level display, a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, and analog gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 58 miles.

The all-aluminum 5.7-liter DOHC LT5 V8 was co-designed by GM and Lotus and built by Mercury Marine. Output was rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque when new. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.

The window sticker is affixed to the windshield and shows initial delivery to George Chevrolet in Bellflower, California, and lists colors, standard equipment, options, and a total vehicle price of $60,690.

The car received a Top Flight Award by the National Corvette Restorers Society in May 2017. Scoring sheets are shown in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists a lone registration entry in Rhode Island in April 2017. Open recalls associated with the seat belt retractors are listed in 1991.
The car does not have a title, as it was acquired by the dealer from a seller in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its expired Rhode Island registration.
